For 2014 the R came with ABS as standard in the US market, at a price roughly 400 dollars above the previous year's bike. The Öhlins/Brembo chassis was unchanged, while a reworked fuel-injection tune improved urban economy and added some engine braking. Cycle World still counted it among its favourite bikes.
